This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site for Washington County, Kentucky court and public-records information. We cannot pull official documents, file paperwork, or issue certified copies for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.

  • County Clerk open records: send written requests by hand delivery, mail, fax, or email to washingtoncountyclerk@ky.gov. The clerk's policy calls for a determination within five working days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays.
  • Marriage and divorce records: see marriage and divorce records. Marriage licenses and copies route through the County Clerk; divorce case files route through the Circuit Court Clerk.
  • Probate, wills, and estates: see probate records. District Court handles probate of wills, Circuit Court handles contested probate and real-property title disputes, and the Circuit Court Clerk manages the court files.
